The natural responsibility of the
classical composer
JOURNALIST: Mr. Hübner, to me it looks as if you attach the same
standing to the avant-gardes dissonant music as to the consonant music
of the classics and/or to the harmonical music which you make am I
right there? But I cant imagine that, for instance, with your Medical
Resonance Therapy Music®* you are able to offer disharmonious music.
PETER HÜBNER: That is a totally different question. If we are
talking about the question of health, we are, of course, confronted with a
totally new element of contemplation.
Pythagoras, who until today is considered the founder of our scientific age
by the great thinkers, has established in his very profound examinations that
the same laws of harmony that determine the inner tonal developments in the
Microcosm of Music also dominate the biological organisms within evolution,
and beyond that direct the processes in the entire cosmos.
Socrates later pointed out that the same also applied to the human soul, and
that the knowledge and observance of natures laws of harmony were of
great significance, not only to the biological systems but also to the weal
and woe of all mankind.
He even went so far to say that a society which increasingly sank into chaos,
could only save itself from doom, by having the young generation grow up with
harmonical music, and in this way establish itself in natural harmony, so
that it could withstand any exterior chaos.
Pythagoras was a physician, mathematician, scientist, musicologist and philosopher.
He said the microcosm of music, being associated with creation, was the ideal
place to gain theoretical and practical knowledge on natures laws of
harmony. I have commented on this in more detail on various occasions.
Much later, Kepler wrote a piece of work on music theory, and he derived
his planetary laws, with which he astonished astronomical experts, from the
microcosm of music.
Since then we have known that Pythagoras was also right in this respect, that
the heavenly bodies move according to the same laws of harmony which can be
found in the microcosm of music.
Today, modern chronomedicine, by means of extensive scientific studies,
could prove the statement made by Pythagoras that the human organism in its
function also follows these laws of harmony, and that a person, e.g., will
become ill when this natural harmonical order is disturbed.
A weakening of the natural order of the biological processes in the body,
above all, triggers off a disturbance of the hormonal system, thereby weakening
the immune system.
Sufficient relevant proof has been provided by medical experts.
JOURNALIST: And disharmonious music can disturb the natural, harmonious
order of the organism?
PETER HÜBNER: Yes. Normally, listening to disharmonious music, like
inhaling chemically polluted air or eating chemically sprayed food does not
do that much to a healthy body. But when the organism has been weakened, then
all these things together have the effect of potential pathogens just
like disharmonious music.
In such a case practising or consuming disharmonious music would be harmful
to peoples health.
However, the organism can regenerate itself after listening to such music
in the same way as after inhaling or consuming toxic substances.
Many smokers say that smoking is not at all harmful to them. You can hear
the same from alcohol or drug consumers. This might often be the case, if
the immune system of that person is strong, in order to perfectly regenerate
itself again.
But in those cases, where the immune system is not strong enough to be able
to deal with these external disruptive factors, the people concerned must
avoid such strains or at least reduce them to a minimum , if
they do not want to risk falling ill.
This is nothing new to most people. But during times when many people do not
have a particularly strong immune system, it seemed and still seems worthwhile,
at least to me, contemplating whether it wouldnt be better to put a
stop to disharmonious music which weakens the organism, and instead create
harmonically structured music which strengthens it and that is how
Medical Resonance Therapy Music® originated.
